Welcome to Discovery High School: A Place Where Thinking, Belonging, and Purpose Come Together! At Discovery High School, we believe that students thrive when they are challenged to think deeply and supported to grow confidently. Located in the heart of the North Bronx, Discovery offers a close-knit, inclusive community where every student is known by name, seen for who they are, and empowered to discover who they can become. We combine rigorous academics with joyful learning, where students engage in real-world problem solving, earn college credit through our partnership with Lehman College, and prepare for life after graduation with a strong sense of purpose. Our curriculum pushes students to think critically, ask meaningful questions, and powerfully express their ideas,"because learning should be both challenging and exciting. Outside the classroom, students bring their passions to life through a wide range of clubs and activities, from gaming and dance to museum trips, ice skating, and student-led events. Our school spirit is felt in everything from community celebrations to the everyday kindness that fills our hallways. Equally important is our commitment to social-emotional learning. With a dedicated support team of counselors, advisors, and peer mentors, we help students build resilience, manage stress, and develop the confidence to navigate both school and life. Discovery is more than a school; it's a family of thinkers, doers, and dreamers who support one another every step of the way. Here, students don't just prepare for college and careers; they prepare for the academic and social-emotional skills necessary for the world of tomorrow!
