Our World Neighborhood Charter Schools educates our students to become independent-thinkers and lifelong learners. We are committed to an educational philosophy based on inquiry, active and experiential learning, and social justice. Through a literacy-based, integrated and standards-driven curriculum that encourages community and honors diversity, we will prepare our students to move forward successfully in their academic journey, pursue their aspirations, lead in their communities and thrive in today's world. Our charter schools are located in very ethnically, racially, and economically diverse neighborhoods. We celebrate this diversity by integrating the cultural richness of each community with the lessons of the classroom and the governance of each school. All members of the school community-students, teachers, and administration-are expected to reflect on the nature and quality of their work and interactions, and to strive to reach their full potential as learners and as citizens.
